|CHARLOTTE GOLD QUARTER EAGLE. MINTAGE: 16,788. Rare in high grades probably due
to quality of strike. Strike for this issue varies greatly and are very scarce
well struck. Most are not well impressed and others show extremely poor detail
due to having been produced from a bulged die. The sharply struck pieces total
around 25% of surviving population but still have weakness on top of Liberty s head and Eagle s right leg with other details well defined. GREAT DETAILS WITH
LOTS OF LUSTER AND SMOOTH SURFACES AND NICE COLORATION. REAL BEAUTY! NGC HAS ONLY CERTIFIED 30 IN THIS CLOSE TO AU GRADE.|
