MINTAGE: 175,162 WITH ONLY 250-300+ KNOWN TO EXIST TODAY. VERY RARE IN HIGH GRADES. Around 75% are lightly struck at the obverse center. The reverse is better than most with weakness on Eagle s right leg and neck feathers. 2 DIE VARIETIES EXIST - VARIETY TWO has a sharper date with out the late state die cracks on the reverse like this one. Only 39 have been certified by PCGS & NGC in higher grades. ONLY 7 all these have CAC certification. LARGE QUANTITIES were and have been found overseas in the past decade. FULLY STRUCK with all details very sharp and bold. EXCEPTIONAL EYE APPEAL and OUTSTANDING SURFACE ORIGINAL COLORATION. Most are heavily abraded so therefore the MS63 grade from PCGS. REALLY LUSTROUS. TOTAL KNOWN; 1300-1600 but not with these certifications like this one.

It remains the scarcest New Orleans eagle from this decade by a considerable margin. Details are bold with some typical flatness on high points. Reverse is sharp. EXCEPTIONAL EYE APPEAL. GREAT LUSTER with ORIGINAL SURFACE COLORATION. Total known only 400-500!
