SEATED LIBERTY SILVER DOLLAR (1840-1873) WITH MOTTO -- "IN GOD WE TRUST" (1866-1873). LOTS OF MINT LUSTER REMAINS WITHIN THE PROTECTED AREAS ON BOTH SIDES, EXCELLENT EYE APPEAL, DETAILS SOLID FOR PCGS GRADE CERTIFIED ALMOST UNCIRCULATED. Despite the record mintage of 1,105,500 circulation strikes these are slightly scarcer today than are those dated 1871 which has the next highest mintage. More 1872 were exported. All were paid out to depositors of silver. However, some returned to the Treasury in later years. Probably most 1872 were used domestically and seen in channels of commerce after 1873 PCGS GRADED POPULATION: AU50 (96) AU53-58 (180) ALL MS 122.
